My Approach to Therapy

My philosophy is that people are happiest when they can well manage their feelings, behaviors and thoughts; freely pursue their passions; and authentically express themselves.  My approach to therapy is strength-based, and my goal is to foster a safe space for clients to work through their presenting concerns. In therapy, I invite clients to share the thoughts and feelings associated with their experiences and identify existing and alternative narratives to support progress toward their therapeutic goals.  I support clients using validated techniques and exercises to find ways to live their lives authentically, which ultimately contributes to living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

My experience involves working across the lifespan with children, teens, and adults with a variety of presenting conditions including ADHD, anger, anxiety, mood disorders, difficulties adjusting to life stressors and transitions, trauma, and more.

I am currently under supervision with licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Lynn McDaniel as I accrue hours for licensure. This means that you have the benefit of multiple providers informing your treatment to ensure quality care.
