My Approach to Therapy

As a social worker, I believe we are all interconnected and face challenges at various stages throughout our lives.  Because we are social creatures, we all benefit from seeking professional support when faced with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, difficult decisions, and other stressful life circumstances.  You don’t have to go it alone!  I believe that if you want to heal, then it’s possible. If you want to be happy, then you can be. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

I would welcome an opportunity to walk alongside you while you navigate the complex and often difficult aspects of living.  My clinical philosophy is based on the idea that you are the expert in your own life.  Your unique perspectives and experiences are central to who you are as a person.  As part of my approach, I aim to support people in engaging in mindful living, being grounded in the present, and resourcing their strengths to foster resilience in the face of difficulties.  I integrate cognitive and trauma recovery approaches in an effort to create balance and meaning in one’s life.
