My Approach to Therapy
The beautiful thing about therapy is that it is never a one size fits all experience, and that is something I hold close to me with my work. I believe that we all hold an innate need for connection and belonging, and all individuals deserve someone that will provide them acceptance, understanding, and connection in all seasons of life. My approach to therapy involves play therapy based techniques and interventions, along with concepts that are person-centered and Adlerian-centered to make the therapy experience personable and within context for all individuals. Being neurodivergent, I thrive on authenticity in my field of work and I enjoy coming together with my clients and families authentically and engaging with them to provide those therapeutic connections. My experience of working with children has taught me that children are capable of positive self-direction, and they deserve to have an excited adult in their life that provides them with a safe space, respect and genuine rapport.
